Please rise for an American style IPA blessed with a golden opalescence that is sure to delight your tastebuds. Zesty notes of lemon and grapefruit match the fruity, juicy flavour of citrus (Cascade, Amarillo, Moasic, Citra) and a subtle, fresh, pine spice (Nugget, Centennial). A light but chewy body, and we all like that, with subtle bitterness leaves the palate tingling and ready for more.

330 ml. bottle. Amber colour with golden hues, medium sized off-white head, that leaves some nice laces behind. Light bitter aroma with caramel, bread, citrus hops, and a roasted union note (???) Medium bitter taste with some malts. Medium body with an slick texture. Finishes bitter and quite dry. Not the most elegant APA, still a pleasant experience.

On tap. Pours amber with a slight haze and a creamy beige head with some lacing. Fairly fresh, citrusy hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied, first lightly fruity, distinctly hoppy but with an unfortunate chemical tang. Hoppy, bitter finish. Starts of quite nice but some of the flavour components arenโ€™t really all that charming. 170312

My first visit to Black Door โ€“ and they had not H.O.D.A. so I took this one. Aroma is rather nice with lots of hops and fruits. Flavour is also hoppy with exotic fruits, hints of citrus and resin. Good!
