500ml bottle from Waitrose - "Imported by Scottish & Newcastle" Pale straw with a thick white head, looks like a typical eurolager; tastes better than most though - fairly full in the mouth with a slightly sweet malty flavour, and a crisp finish. Not bad!

Canned. Pale yellow colour, almost no head. Aroma of maize and alcohol. Flavour is paper, grass and is quite horrible. Typical canned chemical waste.

bottle - Pours pale yellow and fizzy... yep, it looks like a typical macro lager. The mild aroma has light malt and a hint of hops. The flavor is grainy and light and the body is watery, though not as thin and flavorless as some beers of this style. At least it’s better than Baltika 9.

Small white head quickly shrinks into thin white ring. Light yellow body with ongoing carbonation. Faint sweetish grassy aroma with apple notes. Taste is grainy apple with strong grassy notes. Some chalk. Dry, papery aftertaste. Unpleasant papery bitterness settles in the mouth. The initial taste is the best thing about this. Not so good. (0.5l bottle.)

Bottle, Tesco have started stocking this regularly but prior to this my regular source for the last few years in Oxford has been the small Russian Supermarket on the Cowley Road, plus one or two Lithuanian and other East European beers can be picked up here. Golden colour with a large frothy white head, bit highly carbonated for my liking. Clean and crisp come to mind but lacking somewhat in the flavour department, some bitterness otherwise a bit drab.

Canned. Clear golden, fizzy head. Papery nose. Sweet and medium bodied with fairly soft mouthfeel. Not much happens flavourwise, except for some vegetables and blod cutting in towards the finish.

Not much head, nor ’effervescence, straw color; nose; a bit of malt; mouth: a bit of malt, a little more carbonation, a bit sweet as a finale; definitely not a great beer but what I needed after painting
