24/VI/14 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk) @ home - BB: n/a (2014-665)

Clear dark blond to beige beer, big creamy white head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing. Aroma: pretty spicy, candi sugar, coriander, bit dusty, orange peel, floral notes, banana and yeast. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: grains, sweet malts, citrus, hay, bit spicy, coriander, pretty bitter, floral. Aftertaste: chocolate bitterness, some banana, alcohol, yeast, spicy, dry, bit grassy, alcohol burn, which is weird for this beer, almonds and marzipan on warming up.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Gollem in Antwerp. Thx! No BBF. Pours an almost clear pale golden with a frothy white head. Nose is huge esters, faint green banana, feels pretty raw & unrefined with light alcohol. Taste is lots of esters, green banana, citrus, white pepper, hay, alcohol is largely covered here, some sparkling water & light minerals as well. Body reminds me a bit of sparkling water. Way better than expected, not bad at all.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a tall and slightly off-white foamy head. Bready and slightly cara-malty aroma with mildly citric and floral notes, accompanied by a spicy and yeasty touch. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a lively carbonation. Bready malty taste with a moderate fruit-character combined with a mildly spicy touch; slightly fruity and yeasty finish with a slightly rough bitterness and a tinge of alcohol shining through. Not particularly balanced blond Ale. 04.I.11

Bottled 330ml (Beer Planet, BB ?/2010)
Hazy orange color, decent white head, some floating yeast. Aroma is yeasty, white peppery with hints of orange. Medium-bodied with crisp carbonation. Bitter spiceyness in the flavor: white pepper, citrus, but also yeast is strongly present. Yeast tastes a bit unclean, otherwise reasonably refreshing.

A hazy blonde ale with a thick white head. Aroma of lemon, yeast and light rubber notes. In mouth, a very nice pleasant ale, with light bubble gum, notes of Curacao, herbal notes, medium bodied. The taste is much more pleasant than the nose lets predict. Bieropholie imports.

330ml bottle shared with Skinnyviking at Pegasus in Copenhagen. Slightly, hazy brown in body colour topped by a white layer. Spicy aroma. Sweet citrus fruits in flavour followed by a yeasty ending and a touch of alcohol. Foamy palate. Rather bland, but still acceptable (28.05.2008).
