This lager beer stands out from the crowd, yet it’s very simple. It’s red, dry and slightly caramelized. Coolish.

Bottled@Littlepub, Vaasa. Copper colour with a small beige head. Aroma is mild toffee, some mentol as well as resin and some mild crystal malts. Flavour is sweet malts, crystal malts, some resin, herbs and mild pepperminty elements to it. A wee bit yeasty too. More of an Irish Red than a lager.

330ml bottle. Clear, dark amber colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Mellow malty aroma, notes of caramel and malt lozenge, Taste i ssweet-ish caramel malty, notes of malt lozenge, a touch of toffee, minimally grassy, hoppy counterpart. Simple, balanced - nice,

Bottæe 33 cl. Pours a clear, dark amber with a roughish off-white head. Very sweet caramel and biscuit nose with a berry note. Sweet, malty body, almost flat in carbonatio, loads of sticky toffee and caramel with no real bitterness. Gets a bit one-dimensional in all its sweetness becoming almost cloying. 300818

33cl bottle from Alko. Poured reddish brown color with a thick white head. Bready malty, caramelly aroma, papery notes. Flavor has caramel, bready, malty, some herbal hops. Bit stale. Not a style I'm very fond of.

Bottled 330ml (Alko web)
Copper-amber colour, small beige head. Quite neutral aroma: it has some caramel, some lurking breadyness, mentholy hops. Light to medium-bodied. Flavour is very similar: caramalts are on top, then some bready maltyness and hops ... I would say "mentholy". Ok, modern amber, feels more ale than lager. Needs more hops and a bit less caramalt.

Bottle from O'Brien's, Athlone [141017] 4/6/7/3/14
Ruby red, light haze, frothy off white head, good lacing
Aroma - sweet caramel, soft red berry fruits
Taste - soft sweet caramel, soft red berry fruits, quite malty
Palate - Medium carb and body, bit creamy, soft sweet malts. Finish as main flavour, dab of toasted malts
Overall - It's not a lager at all, more a sweet fruity red ale. Nice, simple beer.
