A Bright Spectacle of a Hazy IPA

This fascinating ferment is full of fabulous Sabro, Citra and Cashmere hops for a smooth, tropical fruitiness. A slightly bitter, densely hazy phenomenon that's strangely light in mouthfeel, keeping you satiated and still coming back for more.

Can from local AH XL supermarket. Color: Hazy pale golden, white head. Aroma: Citrus fruit, hoppy and malty. Taste: Pineapple, citrus fruit, malty and hoppy background. Bit watery. Moderate sweet and bitter. Average carbonation. Just under medium body. Notes of grapefruit. Not much going on, compared to good NEIPA's. Lacking complexity, body and balance. Not a Wonder at all... Mwah.

From can to glass. Nice beer that is light yellow and hazy with a white head. Citrusy aroma and flavor with a citrus aroma and retained sweetness. This is solid, but not robust like many NEIPAs. I feel like the larger craft beers have a higher standard on NEIPAs and maybe get docked a few points for the same beer as others.

A murky, light yellow beer, a head is medium and white. Aroma has mango, grapefruits, feels mellow. Taste has mango, grapefruit, some fructose. Medium bodied. Quite straightforward, but nice beer.

Hazy gold pour with a lingering, one finger white head. Citrus aroma. The flavor is sweet and citrusy. It's easy drinking with some mild hops bitterness coming through.

12 oz can from Hops & Bottles. Pale golden with only a faint haze, small foamy cap of head. Aroma is light, grainy, sweet. Taste also focuses on the malts, malt sweetness, small amount of bittering hops at the finish. Crushable, but there's not much here.

Yellow & blue 2$ can from vintage. Smell is sweet volatile hops. Clear pale, sometimes I wonder why these hazy IPA are called hazy. Do theu want me to shake the can before I pop it? Just asking. Big bubbly white head. Taste is turtle shells with some backed up bitterness. Floral olfactory continues. First I think its not as bitter as an IPA should be but then some of that starts to settle in near the middle. However, if they want this to be more than an APA, they better add a few more hops to this. Finish is a bitter but somewhat bright effect. Not sure how hops can be called bright unless they are noble, but there you have it. What else can be said?

Can, WW. Slightly hazy with a white head. Lemon, melon, pineapple, and orange notes in the aroma. Flavor is citrus peel, melted plastic, melon, green leaf. Meh.
