Bottiglia. Arco olfattivo dominato dall'affumicato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma non è molto persistente. La grandezza delle poche bollicine è a grana medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. La carbonazione morbida. Il colore è ambrato. Il corpo è pieno e multidimensionale. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, crosta di pane, frutta secca, affumicato, frutta passita, vaniglia e legno.

Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is sweetish malt with smoke, caramel, smoked meats, some ashy notes. Flavour is medium sweet with a good moderate bitterness. Body is medium. On-point French Rauchbier, stranger things have happened.

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een bruin bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een rokerige geur. De smaak is moutig en rokerig.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear amber with a smallish, off-white head. Subtle aroma of German smoke. Medium body, quite minerally, slightly nutty with a rather bitter finish. The smokiness unfolds a little more but remains fairly subtle. 080120
Beery xmas, #10. Gerookt hout, jeneverbes. Vrij droog vh hout, wat zoete karamel. Niet de beste smoked, maar smoked is smoked!
Charred smokey meaty bacon. Smoked Gouda cheese. Quite strong in this sense, but it is a good smoke if you like the style. Saveur bier advent calendar 2019 (3.4 nov 2019). Drank again May 2020 savuer bier variety pack. Upgraded to 3.5. Clean mild balanced smoke.
