Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, reddish black with a smallish, beige head. Nose is more chocolate than roast - even with a buttery note. Medium body, smooth on the palate, kinda sweet in a chocolate way, plums and prunes rather than roastiness. It's a rather different take on a Stout but I kinda like it's mellowness and lack of aggressive roast. 100220

Piwo dobre, nawet bardzo. Przypominalo mi Black IPA, spora bezowa piana, trwala, ciemna barwa nie przepuszczajaca swiatla i innych promieni, Sporo mocci kawy, czekolady extra gozkiej. Malo slodowosci jak na FES. Artystyczna i ladna lakierowana butelka, ze chyba SP lemmiemu z Motorhed by sie spodobala.

Zwart bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitter en licht zoet met iets van karamel, bittere chocolade en iets wat naar anijs neigt. Erg goed.

2 February 2019. At Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to tderoeck, 77ships, Jerre, Kevin & Anke! Cloudy dark brown with a lasting, small, foamy, beige head; some lacing. Aroma of earth, chocolate powder, walnut, coffee roast, black tea, bayleaf. Taste is light malty sweet, quite chocolatey, nutty tones of walnut & cashew with an earthy edge; light roasted bitter middle then carries pure coffee roast, toast, vague fruity hitns of raisin & blackcurrant. Dry, herbal & earthy hoppy finish, lingering coffee roast, toast, some warming alcohol (coffee liqueur). Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Straightforward bitter Stout, decent.
