Bitter Than Your Mama is heavily hopped double IPA with rich malt base. The bronze color and nutty flavor is achieved by adding a bit of chocolate malt. Bitterness and aroma comes from the use of Citra, Mosaic and Ekuanot hops in every step of the brewing, starting from the boil and all the way through the dry hopping.

440ml can kindly shared by Finn Low off-white head, misty brown-reddish body, laces well. Malt-fruity aromas, inviting, hints of mild caramel and herbal hops. Quite solid taste profile of leafy hops, caramel, and ripe citrus. Lingering ripe fruity ending with a welcome bitter bite. Fine bodied. Pleasing. (Tromsø, 19.12.2025).

A strong hoppy and nutty aroma builds up expectations and they are not disappointed ! Pours a classic “English bitter brown” and a strong off-white head. In the mouths – well hops, hops everywhere – but in a balanced way. Wonderfully bitter hops, tea leaves and brazil nuts. A trace of oranges in the finish too, where the alcoholic strength comes through. I don’t like way-out hoppy beers as a rule, but this is just so well done ...
