Why Early Grey Tripel?
The thought arose when tasting a variety of Tripels and thinking…
I genuinely love that sweet, spicy-fruity honey taste with a velvety finish beer.
So the next question that anyone with a culinary background might ask themselves was:
How can I make this more dimensional, and what can make it even more fascinating?

That is where the Earl Grey tea came in! After investing time in understanding a multitude of different types of Earl Grey, I created a blend that really worked well with a dryer, fresher, tripel.

Worth to mention is that this tripel is an indisputable competitor for any red wine and will fight for its title as a grilled-steak companion.

Combining these two was challenging as the contrasts are quite surprising. However, for the heretic or open-minded, it’s a memorable journey. The bold taste and luring aroma of this beer will provoke you to savor it until the last sip.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Spicy with a bold Earl Grey influence. Some malts, herbal notes, lots of bergamot. Moderate to medium sweet with a mild bitterness. Body is medium. Pleasant Earl Grey Tripel.

Hazy orange colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour definitely have plenty of Earl Grey notes with the citrus of Bergamot. Rounded bitterness in the finish.
