A pretty solid lager. Had on tap at Mudville 9. Rich malt aroma and flavor, with a nice dose of hops to create some complexity. Some caramel notes. Mild bitterness on the finish.

12 ounce bottle. from Beer Run in Charlottesville. VA. Pours a very clear golden color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is toasted grains, caramel and light grassy notes. Taste is toasted malts, light fruit notes including apricot and apple and light caramel. Medium bodied with fairly lively carbonation.

Pours pale gold into a shaker. Bright white head quickly recedes to hug rim. Malt and biscuit aromas. Crisp and smooth. Clean, cry finish.

Looks ok, with minimum head and a body as pale as a pale lager. Interesting smell, with some breadiness and bit of hops in the smell. Tastes like a really bready lager. Has a hint of sweetness, kind of like many viennas. Minimal hop presence, but it is certainly a beer that is remarkably easy to drink. I will not complain about it. RE: Actually I will complain about it, sometimes the beer tastes almost like a skunked pale lager. Inconsistent and even at its best it is nothing more than mediocre. Victory should stick with ales.

Bottle. Sweet corn/barley malt aroma. Light yellow with small head but moderate effervescence. Initially sweet corn malt flavor with a sour, light hops finish. Moderate carbonation. Pretty much par for the style.

As a lager lover I await the tasting of this with eager anticipation. Never met a lager I didn’t really like, except a non alky or two. Oh, then I see its really a dort. From my own state, on the other side. Pours like a very nice any other lager from a 12 oz brown bottle. Light yellow but not quite lemon in color. Has some carbonation but the bubbles are not fine and they don’t qualify as lacing. Has what seems to be sweetness in the background as I sniff it. It seems a little light for a basic old lager. The flavor starts nice without a bitterness bite. It is a little ale-like on the tongue if you look for it. Flavor is below average on the uvula. This is OK for a lager but it should cost a lot less. Interesting hoppy or malty finishes that fade rapidly but lets you know you just drank beer for awhile. Has a personality all it’s own. Good but too expensive, $2 a 12 oz bottle. Better than great lakes but not as good as Lowenbrau.

This lager poured a pale yellow colour with a off white head. To the nose, citrus, cornand hops. Slightly floral. First taste was pretty thin. Strong corn taste. Smooth but watery.

Bottle. Pretty good, basic beer. Pale in color, and nice in flavor. Finishes pretty well in my opinion.

Nice lager, could be better. Aroma is grassy with a bit of sweetness. Fairly malty taste with a little more sweetness than I expected... although it gives way to a nice bitterness.
