12 oz bottle-pours a thick head, quickly reduces to very thin. Color is a clear pale yellow. Aroma is grain-sweet malt. Taste is grain-sweet malt, mild carbonation (to start). Dry finish. Only drawback, the carbonation diminishes throughout the glass of beer. 3.2 -on tap-pours a straw/yellow color with no head. Taste is a smooth grain, light on the carbonation. 3.0

Bottle Pours a crystal clear very pale yellow with lots of lively bubble. Small white head that dissapeasrs quickly. Sparse spotty lacing. Aroma is sweet and grassy with a touch of honey. Light pale flavors of light grain and grass. Quick mild finish. Easy to put away.

2004 bottle. Pours a moderately weak golden color. Small fizzy white head, too much filtration. Aroma of grass, hay, saaz hops, pretty crisp and lightly bitter. Bit of pear and apple, light phenols. Flavor is a bit too bittersweet right of the start, developing some caramelly malt sweetness as it progresses. Very clean and filtered flavors of light grains, a touch of honey and almonds. Hops on the finish are not overdone, and add a good crispness, light herbal/spiciness. Still, I’m not terribly impressed. Malt seems muddled and too overbearing up front. Eh, it’s quite drinkable but unremarkable.

A decent lager but still not one that I gravitate too very often. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a light golden color with only a trace of a white head. There is a strong typical lager scent with just a hint of fruit. The flavor is malty and lightly fruity. There is a slight malty aftertaste. If one were to judge on the color and aroma one might just pass this beer by. But the flavor really is quite good for this style of beer.

VAML is a pale yellow beer witha frothy head. The aroma is light hops. The flavor is a nice balance of hoppy sweetness, but lacked in intensity. The body was extremely light and somewhat watery. Nothing robust about this beer. Drinkable.

Light golden colour with no head at all. Crystal-clear; Light malty aroma with some slight hoppiness and a mild fruity quality. Medium-bodied; Nice malty taste, coats the mouth nicely-good fruit qualities. Aftertaste clean, but showing some malt characteristics and a bit of the mouth-coating sweetness. Overall, very nice to try and a decent lager! I got this twelve ounce bottle courtesy of a local friend who got this at Hampton Beer Distributor in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. I sampled this one on 11-December-2003.

Helles version. Pretty light, almost a straw color. Fizzy fading head. Light aroma with only a hint at grassy hops, a bit of buttery malt. Very clean, flavor is weakened. Even-handed bitter finish is well balanced. Some grassy and spicy hop flavors begin to appear late.
