Bottle. A more or less clear one, golden in color and with a dense, off-white head of moderate size on top. Lacings. The aroma is fruity, sugary and with some lightly yeasty and spiced notes. Pine cones too. Quite sugary flavor, but not really sweet, there’s also some fruityness, peaches in syrup, pine cones and a decent bitterness towards the end. Some hints of caramel too. Overall, a quite decent one, nothing superb going on, but an honest beer anyway. 120622

Stumpy brown 33cl bottle, best before 21st Aug 2010, drank on 18th Jun 2010. Poured into a Westmalle chalice. The body was an orange/amber colour, slight haze to it. The head was a blanket of off-white foam. Sweet smelling beer, obviously Belgian yeasts and that combination of hops and malts that only they seem able to do. The sweetness stays in the taste, but with a tangy, hoppy bitterness just under the surface from the start. Good body feel to the beer, well balanced with everything a fine Belgian ale should be. Very easy to drink, the alcohol only being evident as the mouth drys between sips. Worth buying if you ever see it.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of spices - especially coriander as well as notes of citrus and yeast. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of yeast and coriander, leading to a dry spicy finish.

Good dense, off-white head, over dull orange beer. Very nutty, with caramel and wet cut grass. Quite bitter-roasted, chicory, nearly scorched with a lot of sweetness & caramel in the base. In fact rather unpleasant - remembers me of some Leroy beers. Lots of alcohol, quite sticky, well-bodied. It’s not to my taste. And I was told this beer is from Verhaeghe in the pub... don’t think so...
