330ml bottle [as "John Malcom IPA"]. Murky, brown colour with average, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Weak, floral and fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of apple, baked apple, minimally nutty, mellow malty background. Taste is minimally fruity, papery hoppy, hints of apple and cardboard, rather neutral malty basis.

Not a typical citric hoppy IPA that many would expect (including me). More a kind of a strong ale with some hoppy notes. Still a very nice and tasty beer. Looks really great. Clear deep golden /amber (left the sediments in the bottle) with a fine off white head. Ok intensity in the aroma. Fine body and a mellow carbonation level. Not that bitter, but enough to make it balanced. Some alcohol in the start. Very malt based flavor. Dried fruits and some citric notes in the back.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a firm mid-sized and off-white foamy head. Earthy malty aroma with notes of tea and shades of caramel, backed by mildly fruity and delicately piney hops, including hints of citrus, bergamot and grapefruit. Mildly sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly earthy and juicy malty base with traces of caramel, backed by fruity and slightly piney hops; rather short sweet-bitter finish with a whiff of piney hops. Not as bad as expected, also not one of my favourites. 16.VI.17

Wenn man sich anschaut, was Eichbaum alles so braut, steigert das nicht gerade die Vorfreude. Aber gut - Rewe macht also IPAs. Optisch sehr dunkel. In der Nase Frucht aber auch malzig, soweit okay. Im Trunk alkoholisch, cremig, Frucht, schmeck ich da Zimt, Lakritze? Hinten bitter. Ja, geht für ein Industriebier.

Fläschle: Deep golden, hazy, slowly collapsing lacy white head;moderate bitter-sweet aroma of herbal-grapefruity hops with delicate traces of pale malt and soy-sauce; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, relatively light bodied, not that soft; mild to moderate dryish herbal-piney finish with a toch of balancing malty sweetness. Not my favourite, but all in all a quite well made Bier...
