Bottled. Clear golden orange color, medium frothy head. Aroma of grassy hop, some wheat. Bit spicy taset, some wheat, only slightly bitter. Not an IPA. Boring.

On tap @ Take One. Clear golden orange, white head. Aroma of pine, hops, some fruity sweetness. Flavour is quite harsh, pine/resin, grainy and pilsner-like. Not pleasant, rather unbalanced. The regular Brigand is one of my favourite beers, so this was a real disappointment. I admire the effort, but the execution is far from good.

From tap at Heks, Deventer. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Light hoppy and mild caramel malty aroma. Apple and slight citrusy hops flavoured with a distinct bitterness. Slightly out of balance. Bitter and citrusy finish.

Medium, light-amber head over bright, but pale foxy-amber beer. Caramel, bit of parsley, old velvet sofas. And what about the hops? Taste – ah. Here’s the hop – but still rather faint. Grassy, herbal and parsley; lots of caramel. Rather good balance. Well-carbonated, spritzy. Not very well-bodied, ends a bit sticky. Interesting, but neither great, neither very “IPA” as I see it.

Draught, 6.5%. Clear grey brown colour. Sweetish flavour with a slightly rough grassy hop flavour. Strangely caramelly flavour.
