Named after our neighbourhood of Portobello. A copper coloured, aromatic beer brewed as a traditional American IPA made with pale and crystal malts and Cascade and Centennial American hops for a modern, citrusy finish. Enjoy this renegade chilled, with friends.

330ml bottle. Poured a very slightly hazy golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head, a few bubbles and a little lacing. The aroma is gluey malt, mineral, herbal, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, mineral, light pepper spice, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Solid, but nothing to write home about.

Bottle at home thanks to Elo. Clear darker golden with fluffy white head. Dry malts, tea, dried apricot, quite some caramel, bread crust, cardboard, light herbal, grassy, brown sugar. Light sweet and under medium bitter. Over light bodied with a bit dry finish. Tastes very English, not really my thing.

Thuis uit een flesje, aroma is nog wel lekker hoppig, maar dat komt in de smaak wat minder terug, beetje vlak. Gedronken 19-8-2018.

Creamy white head stayed well on a finely carbonated, translucent, copper coloured body. Minimalistic aroma of citrus, spice & malt. Medium to thin bodied, soft over the tongue with a tingle down the throat. Well balanced tastes of malt, spices, tea, citrus & toffee. Remarkably bland IPA
