Old rating from 29-06-16 - Pours gold with a large fizzy white foam. Aroma of chardonnay, wood, toffee, cheap scotch, and apples. Flavor of apples, tequila, wood, apples, and hay. Finishes earthy with alcoholic aftertaste. Light bodied, fizzy mouthfeel.

Attic dust is the predominant flavour here like searching for lost inheritance. Light florals. Golden like pour. Resin like dusty finish. Bottle.

Dullish tan, doesn't look great. On the nose, it's kind of honeyish like old oxidized malt. Thinnish, sweet, oxidized and bland. Just no.

Orange golden color, cloudy, creamy head. Apricot aroma. Hoppy flavor with apricot and bitter walnuts. Bitter aftertaste. Not my taste, but certainly not without quality.

Pours hazy yellow/golden with a lasting, foamy, white head. The aroma contains fruits (orange), hops, spices and yeast. It tastes medium fruity sweet and light hoppy bitter with a yeasty, bit dry finish. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Totally inoffensive but good in its own way.

Bottle. Pours clear blonde, Ok to small whtie head. Smell is sweet, malty but also got some different characters I don’t really recognize. Taste is intense, yet elegant yeastyness with fruity aspects ( not overripe fruit ) a fine fruity hoparoma as well that pairs nothing less than perfectly with the rather aromatic yeast. Light level of bitterness, yet the bitterness is there. Lovely in balance. Even though tripels will never be my favorite beerstyle, this one deffinately is worthy of being called very good !

One of those old-fashioned remnants of Belgian brewing history, according to a recipe dating from 1887, when beers were not as ambitious as they are now - hence the ’daily’ and simple character of this one. Nice session beer nonetheless, golden blonde with a creamy head and spicy hoppy finish. I’d prefer this over a standard lager any day.
