Our inspiration for the development of this beer was Italian herbal liquor Fernet. Italian monks were experimenting with herbs in order to create medicine for digestion and stomach ache. Original recepie for Fernet contains of dozen herbs , orange and grapefruit peel. We were looking for the composition which would comply with complexity of our Russian Imperial Stout. The herbs choosen by us Were macerated for coulpe of weeks after which we added them directly to secondary fermetation While That results to our Fernet Russian Imperial Stout.

Bottle. Malty and herbal aroma and taste, tons of herbs, gingerbread spices, high bitter from herbs, light sweet. Full body, herbal bitter finish. Too much of herbs. Ok.

33cl bottle from MisoW, many thanks man. F: medium, tanned, good retention. C: dark, opaque. A: malty, Fernet, herbal, cocoa, mint touch, chocolate, orange, grapefruits. T: full malty base, a lot of Fernet feeling, herbal, spicy, chocolate, cocoa, mint, anise star, medium carbonation, long lasting herbal bitterness, very nice, fully enjoyed.

Very dark brown color with long lasting medium beige head. Aroma of mint, star anise, liquorice. earthy. Taste, dark malt, star anise, liquorice, mint and whatever fernet herbs, spices, coffee. Warming alcohol, Very weird beer, not much IS, but somehow I liked it.

Bottle kindly delivered by Dejan, thanks pal! I guess this is something what won't be truly appreciated outside of CZSK. This is indeed Fernet bitter in a beer coat. Really herbal, medium bitterness, certainly not RIS like, not by a chance. Good though.

Flasa z Laniusu. Vona silna korenista mierne alkoholova cokoladova a bylinkova. Cierna kavova farba slabsia pena. Chut bylinkoveho likeru s prichutou cokolady. Nadherna. Na konci dlho ostava dlho na jazyku.
