Voici une blonde dorée développant une belle mousse compacte et tenace. Son dégagement gazeux est important. Au nez, on ressent l’orge et la levure ainsi qu’une touche agréable de malt. Elle est un peu piquante en bouche, offre un léger goût de torréfaction et révèle la présence de houblon. Elle est caractérisée par une amertume équilibrée et prolongée en fin de bouche ainsi que par des notes fruitées complexes. Rendant hommage à sa manière à l’enfant du pays, le Dinantais Adolphe Sax, elle se distingue aussi par le design de l’étiquette, représentant un escargot.

0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeers', 8.8% abv, best before August 2026. Very hazy, orangeish amber with a massive, foamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, rather yeasty-spicy, slightly fruity-floral aroma of peach, coriander, vanilla, honey, some banana and light orange peel. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity-floral taste of grains, clove, coriander, peach, honey, vanilla, some banana and hints of orange peel, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium to full body, smooth but fairly effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Very spicy, other than that very well-executed. Nice one.

In my personnal view, it is a correct and classical Belgium beer, close to the Duvel, fruity side, a little sour, malt, hop. 17.06.2017, drinking it at Lausanne, Prélaz, probably coming from the place the l'Aligre, Paris or one bottle shop, rue de Charonne, close nowadays.

Hazy amber pour, huge off white head, alot of floaters. Aroma of stale hops, tropical fruit, and some metals. High carb, lively mouth feel. Strong fruity finish. Lots of pineapple, and mango, with some yeasty notes.

Aroma of Belgian yeast, fruits, citrus, some spiciness, hops. Flavour is yeasty and fruity, light to medium sweetness, with a light bitterness in the finish. As Belgian Strong Ales go, this one is pretty good!

Аромат солодовый с легкими нотками специй. На удивление пена полностью отсутствовала. Цвет бледно желто-туманный. Во вкусе чувствуется немного цитрусов и сильно отдает кориандром. Пиво хорошо газированно. Послевкусие согревает горло, ощущается солод немного хмеля и кориандр. Есть присутствие оттенка сладких ягод и легкой карамели. В целом хороший, крепкий середнячок.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, this one at 7.7%. Hazy golden brown with big fluffy white top. Aroma and taste of sweet malt, flora, banana sweets, straw, clove, menthol. Medium body, soft but slightly chewy with a fine to zingy carbonation. Good character to to this and tasty.
