Voici une blonde dorée développant une belle mousse compacte et tenace. Son dégagement gazeux est important. Au nez, on ressent l’orge et la levure ainsi qu’une touche agréable de malt. Elle est un peu piquante en bouche, offre un léger goût de torréfaction et révèle la présence de houblon. Elle est caractérisée par une amertume équilibrée et prolongée en fin de bouche ainsi que par des notes fruitées complexes. Rendant hommage à sa manière à l’enfant du pays, le Dinantais Adolphe Sax, elle se distingue aussi par le design de l’étiquette, représentant un escargot.

Big bottle, likely 75 cl, thanks to Ingo! Marked 7.5% ABV, BB end 12, 2013. Sampled on September 22, 2012Hazy golden color, white head. Malty, light acidic scent. Malty, sweet, phenoles, alcohol taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

At a tasting, thanks, smallish head, hazy lemon yellow colour, aroma of freshly squeezed oranges and canned peaches, flavour of citrus and apricot with some herbal tea notes, medium bitterness. Quite enjoyable.

Bottle shared at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks Hansen & Zita for this bottle! 7.5%. Clear deep golden with a white head. Aroma has some graininess, some fruitiness (peach, nectarine) and light spiciness. Sweet flavor with some malt, a bit of honey, some fruitiness and a sweet finish with a spicy note and light alcohol notes. Medium-bodied.

Bottle. Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Heavy hoppy and moderate malty aroma. Strong citrus notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Some citrus and fruity notes. Average moderate bitter finish.. Oily palate. Great beer.

Brown cork and caged 0.75 litre bottle, best before 12/2009, drank 01/2009. Cloudy orange, lemony colour with a cream coloured head. The smells were all about Belgian yeasts and citrus fruits all bundled together and given a big shake. I found the taste and mouthfeel too fizzy and sour, the citrus element taking over to much. The alcohol is well hidden, but the carbonisation was too much for me.

33cl bottle. Golden colour with a frothy and large but mostly diminishing white head. Aroma is slightly caramel, moderate yeasty ans spicy. Flavour is moderate malty, yeasty, slightly sweet and with a dry final. Carbonation is medium to lively. Body is medium.

Had this on tap at Seventh Sun in Dunedin. Smells a little alky strong, perhaps a tad volatile. Taste is same, stronger alky. This is interesting since the barmaid said it was one of the milder beers on tap. Slight fruity background with a little tartness within. Bitter alky linger. Barely any co2 in this brew.
