We've brewed the beer we, ourselves craves when the temperature drops and the darkness allows us to sit down in our armchairs and crack open something warming.

Bottled 330ml (Alko web, vintage 2020)
Just slightly cloudy amber colour, steady beige head. Aroma has dried fruits, dry yeast and grapes. Medium-bodied, on the light side. Grapes, light citrus, bitter hops, light oak. Hoppy and fruity. Maybe more like American Stong style than a Barley Wine. Quite thin for its ABV and alcohol shines thru.

A copper brown beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has overriped fruits, banana, caramel. Taste has sweet and overriped fruitness, strawberries, some drying herbs. Medium+ bodied. Quite weak.

Smell of dried fruit, hops. Hazy cognac colour, high off-white head. Aroma of hops, overripe fruit, citrus. Bitter with a mild sweetness. This is a DIPA rather than BW. Flat carbon. Basically good but not what it promises.

Smell of oak. Deep amber colour, very high beige head. Aroma of oak, raisins, alcohol, cognac. Medium sweet. Lively carbon. Sharp palate.

Bottle 33 cl. Vintage 2017. Pours a cloudy amber with a dense, off-white head. Sweet, overripe, oxidized fruit in the nose - vitamin like. Rich body, again these minerally vitamin notes, oxidized fruit and caramel with a fairly bitter finish. Too hoppy to be really welcoming. And not complex enough to be really pleasant. 210119

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 2018(?)-11-04, from Alko Arkadia, 20181019) The beer poured pale mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, raisins and caramel. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were caramel, earth, biscuits, malts, raisins and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, boozy and bitter. Otherwise pleasant strong brew but the finish was too boozy.
