This rich, dark brew is formulated to pair with fresh oysters. Brewed with a pinch of sea salt for an authentic character (does not contain any oysters!).

Tap at Shoreline Bev. The keg was dead by the time I got to it. But I got 3 ounces of beer and 7 ounces of foam. Better than nothing though. Aroma is very balanced and interesting. Sweetness, roasty coffee, oatmeal. Taste is also roasty with a nice moderate bitterness in the middle of it all. Leaves a coffee like bitter aftertaste. However, i dont get any of the salt or mineral aspects.

This is much like their dry stout, though not as sweet, I suspect from the bit of sea salt they add, which is quite noticable in the flavor, esp. in its dry finish - some chocolate notes and roastiness like many stouts - full mouthfeel, and even a touch of fruitiness in the finish (plums, perhaps) - a great all-around stout from a great all-around brewpub.
