Tap at the brewpub. Pours black with tan head. Burnt malt aroma. Fullish body/creamy carb. Flavor is smooth burnt malt - and I think I get the oatmeal aspect. Plus it is nicely hopped. Very, very good.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a rim of brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of cocoa, but also a siight off-note of dust. The flavor is sweet with notes of vegetables, cardboard, and roasted malt as well as a light note of acidity, leading to a dry bitter cocoa finish.

Got this thanks to a friend who delivered it to me from Golden. Beer pours with no head whatsoever and completely black. The aroma is very good, not overpowering. Smells like coffee and chocolate, and very prevalent but not la blast like a Peche Mortel. The rest is kind of down hill. The body is probably the lightest stout I have ever tasted. Maybe some people will find this good. The taste is very lacking. The taste is also very nothing and no palate at all. So if you are into a stout with lots of great aroma while being light on body and no taste then this is for you.
