Transparent dark color with some ruby notes. Fine tan head. Fruity aroma with some coffee. Mid bodied. Tad sweet with a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation. Nice balanced fruity and coffee flavor with some caramel maltiness. Lovely porter.

From a shared 33cl bottle at RBNG-14. Pours deep mahogany with an off-white head. Malty aroma with caramel, honey and some earthy notes. Too sweet for my taste. (2014-02-15 - Grand Tasting, Fredriksten festning, Halden)

Bottle, 33cl, at RBNG-14 Grand Tasting. An unclear dark brown beer topped by a small, beige head. The aroma has an earthy touch, with dms hints, caramel and some honey. The flavor is a tad sweet, with roasted malts, caramel, some coffee and diacetyl. Notes of dms. Full body, soft carbonation. Lasting finish. Not bad at all this one, but it’s a bit unclean. Easy drinkable though. 140215

BOTTLE 33CL from Cuso, thanks Imro!

Look: almost opaque black with red highlights and an espresso-like creamy head with good retention.
Aroma: roasty, toasty, sweet chocolate, licorice.
Taste: sweet!, sweet chocolate, sweet coffee, light hop bitterness in the finish.

Not bad for a macro, but way too sweet!

Vollmundiger malziger Antrunk, der einen Ticken zu süß ist. Etwa zuckrig, was sich zum Mittelteil wieder legt. Hopfig, wenig alkoholisch. Süß würzig, wenig herb. Nett! 9/12/10/9/9/10

Huge fluffy cream-tan head over deep red-brown beer, shards of lace. Roasted, and very bready; dark bread; fresh parsley. Quite accomodating nose. Really bitter-burnt tastewise; breadcrust gone too far. Bread - with a little maltsweetness and molasses lurking behind, but the burnt/metallic (Maillard?) flavours keep fully the upper hand - regrettably. Yet a tad of parsley with every new sip, even pine. Warming up, some mellowing. Medium bodied at best, well-carbonated, certain slickness. Finish is a bit empty, certainly for a beer with a rather high OG. Too bad about the over-roasting. More restraint here might have turned up a winner Ďakujem moc, Petr!
