First brewed back in 2004, Curieux was our initial foray into barrel aging. To make Curieux, we take our Tripel and let it age in bourbon barrels for six-to-eight weeks. Once that time is up, we take the beer out of our cold cellars and blend it back with a portion of fresh Tripel. The resulting rich, golden ale features smooth notes of coconut, vanilla, and a hint of bourbon.

0,355 flaske fra statens rikholdige utvalg av støttemidler, hjemme: nesten helt klar lys gylden med tett skum som varer. Delikat aroma og innsmigrende smak med krydder, eik/vanilje, bourbon og florale toner. Krydder og appelsin i avslutningen. Selv om det i disse merkelige og skremmende tider på ingen måte er pk å kjøpe varer fra USA, er jeg ikke betenkt med å kjøpe flere flasker av dette sofistikerte brygget. De er forhåpentligvis anti-Trump hele gjengen på bryggeriet.

Carbonation is very soft. lots of subtle fruit aromas and flavours. Also quite a bit of spice in the flavour, the oak really comes through, the aging really added another dimension to the beer, but i’m not sure i’m a big fan of this new dimension

Аромат конечно очень хмелевой для трипеля, а точнее хмелевой он прям по американски, какой то цитрус очень сильно все забивает. Вкус даже с горечью небольшой, фрукты и цветы есть, но хмелем все забивается.

355ml bottle. Slightly hazed golden, white head. Aroma of oaky barrel, bourbon, yeast esters. Taste of spicy Belgian yeast esters, vanilla, oaky barrel, warming alcohol. Medium bodied.
