Bottle split at Bespin, big thanks to Kenny, 08/12/16. Reddish amber with a decent beige cap. Nose is sweet malt, spice, toasted brown sugars, red berry fruits, earthy, orange peel, wooded notes, fruit cake. Taste comprises a sharp alcohol intake that then mellows a little with a mineral tickle, spice, boosty, toasted brown sugar, candied fruit peel, toffee, fruit cake. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost. Decent for the age.

Courtesy of Daniele; synthetic cork, bottled 16.06.10; April 2012
Hazy dark amber color, small head. Fruity aroma but clearly past it’s prime. Strong body , well hiding the alcohol, sweetish caramel flavor, with powerful hopping and high alcohol perception.
Too much and a bit too old, but still a good sipping liquor. Also, too much alcohol.

Dark brown color with no head. Sweet caramel, prunes, dark fruits. Full and sweet taste, like a liquor. Hot chocolate. A hint of juniper. Bitter piney finish in the end. Flat. Sweet and awesome!

Bottle. An oily pour with no head. Almost clear body, dark amber in color. Quite oxidised aroma with lots of booze. Dried fruits, caramel sauce hints and some bread, Cellar hints and even more malts. It’s full-bodied and very warming on the palate, with no carbonation. Lots of flavor, like in the flavor, but it’s actually too much. Way too much all the way. Still, it’s nice in a way. Meant to share I presume. 141228

Bottles at home. Initially quite malty and sweet, very bitter. As it aged, more like a barley wine, oxidised, caramel, sweet toffee.

Woodshed 3.0! Picked this up at the De Molen bottle shop about three or more years ago. The caged and corked 37.5cl green glass bottle pours with a murky copper body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up inviting notes of molasses, caramel, brown sugar dusted prunes and then some vegetable notes. The taste is pretty smooth and thin and popping up aged brown sugar, earthy tea, some aged resiny pine hops and then fading echoes of fruit esters. The massive ABV is restrained pretty well. Nice but this was likely better a year ago.
