Poured from 375mL bottle (pkg 16.06.2010; bottle 440 of 3600; from the fiulijnator cellar). Clear medium dark brown with no head. Aroma is oxidized with some mild dark fruit. Taste is bland and oxidized with lots of cardboard, some very feint dark fruit notes, super super feint pine hops. Bleh. Not as offensive as the AB:03 we just opened, but still bad.

375ml bottle #2406 of 3600. Sampled Nov 2017 at Brewdog Clerkenwell. Pours deep ruby with the traditional Abstrakt zero head. Aroma: malty, caramel, dried fruit, light cherry, herbal, booze. Taste: heavy sweet, tangy vinous, caramel, dried fruit, burnt sugar, cherries, liquorice, wood, alcohol. Full body with no carbonation. Another victim of the plastic corks, it was a bit oxidised. Time had made it an unbalanced, boozy, herbal, barleywine-ish mess

(Bottle) Deep ruby colour with brief bubbly head. Malty, vinous nose with caramel, dried fruit, prunes, cherries, burnt sugar and alcohol. Malty, vinous taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, burnt sugar, cherries, red fruit, a touch of tamarind, liquorice, spicy aged rum, cellar, wood and a vinous and warming finish with a generous earthy bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Hardly balanced, but quite warming and tasty. Has become a touch oxidized, but seems to have aged well. Nice one.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Kenny. Pours clear copper-ruby with a mellow, bubbly off-white head. The nose holds caramel, toasted grass, bread, pine. Medium to heavy sweet flavour, oily and viscous, a little smoke, more pine, crackers, toasted caramel, orange peel. Full bodied, slick, oily and chewy, with minimal carbonation. Warm to hot finish with more oily pine, some woody dryness, hearty pine, crusty bread. Interesting stuff. Has aged pretty well. Not something to chug, but fun.

Bottle at Leighton?s place. 8/12/2016. Huge thanks to Kenny for this one. A rich ruby red, amber coloured pour with a halo of beige head. Aroma is sticky sweet toffee, and burnt sugars, rum, sherry, spicy, boozy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet toffee, spicy rum barrel, boozy fruit cake, cherry, sherry, wine. Palate is semi sweet, full bodied, lowish carbonation. Rounded. Aged. Good. Nice and mellow aged. 3.8- 2018-03-14
