swing top bottle (500ml). -Dark peach coloured, medium sized off-white head, strong fruity alcoholic nose with touch of glue. Very sweet, sharp alcoholic and fruity taste with slight spicy finish. Quite syrupy and sticky but otherwise surprisingly drinkable beer.

Bottled (Schorschbräu 16%, from beerangel.de). Reddish orange colour, no head. Aroma is alcohol, sweeness along with some rather sherry/madeira like notes. Flavour is quite complex, lots of sweet fruits, alcohol and some syrup. Juiceextract too. At the same time some rather old, but sweet madeira-like notes. Very fullbodied and thick palate.

Bottled (BBE 2012). Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Dark orange-ruby color, no head. Sweet berryish and malty aroma, kind of barley wine/old ale -type. Of course also alcoholic. Very sweet, syrapy texture ... molasses, mangosteen, malts, strawberry juice extract, madeira or sherry elements. Late warning (or burning, whatever you like) alcohol. Much better than I was afraid of.

Bottle. Small head with short duration. Color is hazy amber. Aroma and taste are sweet malt, smoke and some citrus. Quite a lot of alcohol. Not too balanced.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a hazy and opaque orangey golden with no head. Intense aroma of overripe fruit and dessert wine. Extremely thick almost syrupy body with notes of fruit and smoke and a touch of sherry. No real bitterness but a burning alcohol. An interesting sipper. 041008

33cl bottle. Claims to be the strongest ale in the world. I really don’t know why the site refers to it as a dopplebock. Pours orange with close to no head. Aroma reminds me of strong apricot, but also of old Parma ham that you eat in the summer and it is very malty. Taste is very sugary as well, fruity and malty. The beer is indeed loaded with alcohol, and I was expecting something totally aweful when in fact the beer turned out to be quite suprising. This is definitely something you want to share with friends or sip on. Not the best beer, but the score reflects the effort for producing something that is enjoyable and drinkable.
