Bottle, 75cl corked. A gusher, producing a hazy golden body with microfloaties and a dense, off-white head of moderate size. The aroma has a fruityness and some pine cones, with a touch of orange peel and a generic citrus peel touch. It’s quite dry on the palate, medium to full bodied and with a bit hard carbonation. The flavor has a nice bitterness, with citrus peel and pine cones, and a touch of pale malts. A quite decent one, but a bit simple and uncomplex. 140830

Sample @ kulminator , from personal notes . I was told this was the same beer as de smoel, but I’m not sure , and can not follow if it is true or not . Anyway Pours clear blonde, ok white head . Smell and taste are - as to be expected - very perfumy . As well as the to high carbonation . Pretty much like any beer in the style that they call champagne-beers ... I seriously don’t get it and think they’re not good and very often overpriced . Maybe I need to drink em at a blind tasting , but in memory of having one or the other, I dont taste much difference between different beers in this style Earlier Rating: 10/7/2013 Total Score: 3modeste 2013 pours fuzzy blonde, good white foam . smell sweet, very gentle and elegant . sharp and high carbo . sour touch ( a bit) , bitter. way better than deus, yes .

Very good, dense and white head, leaving shards of lace; cold hazed orange-golden beer with fine and lively carbonation. Milky, obvious alcohol; then lots of citrus and citruspeel. Fresh-smelling, but for the alcohol; some exotic fruit and dried apricots. Dry-fruity (mainly citrus) and spicy flavour; subtle and yet powerful, again txs to the alcohol, also giving quite some sweetness, more in the finish. Fine spicy bitterness is in good balance with the fruity and alcoholic sweetness, and some effervescence from the CO². Quite well-bodied & slick, well-carbonated, alcoholwarming. Rather remarkable beer, its characteristics usually lying very difficult with me, but with an undebatable good result.Earlier Rating: 10/6/2013 Total Score: 3.4Disappearing white head, hazy pineapplejuice-coloured beer. Herbal nose, garden herbs, smelling a tad astringent, but not in an off-putting way. Sweet-sourish, For some reason, I’m again thinking of pineapple(ester). Finish is a tad empty, as sweetened and out-fermented. Feels quite carbonated, medium bodied at best. For Den Triest, I find this a bit characterless, I’m used to more fireworks. Of course, when you want to emulate Champagne, character is out of order.
