Bottle 0,25ltr: Clear dark red coloured brew with blackcurrant or cassis taste. I began to drink in 1997 with specialty beers, this beer was one of the first "odly" beers that I drunk. Even the label never changed in all those years.

Süßer Beginn, Brause. Künstlich, unsüffig, selbst als Limonade schlecht. Einfach Nein. 6/3/4/3/5/3

*rating overgezet* Fles geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een donkerrood bier met een donker rood/paars schuim. Het aroma is fruitig en bessen achtig, kunstmatig. De smaak is fruitig en cassis achtig.

25cl bottle at home (6 IV 2020), as Streekbier Bosbier, chose by my girlfriend. A hazy purple to reddish and dark pink appearance with a pink to white head on top, which is swiftly diminishing. The looks are allright. The nose has lots of elderberry hints, far more than actual blueberry flavours. Think of a thick-sweet raspberry marmalade or even Liegeois syrup. The flavours are not overwhelmingly grenadine-like, which is promising. The mouthfeel onset is very sweet though, leaving not much room for the lager flavours. Thankfully, there is dextrose in there, as well as many red and black forest fruits. Blueberries of course, but some sour cherry juice as well. One could even notice strawberry hints. After the first sip, the palate does not appear to be overly sugared. The back even has some malty and grain features. The carbonation is quite thoughtful and enjoyable, the slight alcohol or even ginger touch at the very end is welcoming. All in all, many fruity stretches do seem to be at least unnatural. But nothing artificial, which results in a decent, albeit mediocre fruitbeer. A nicely yet average fruity flavored lager this is.

Blackberry aroma, rather vinous. Sweet flavor with blackberries. Just a bit soapy. Candy. Some bitterness in the otherwise blackberry aftertaste.

Bottle from the brewer. Many thanks! Dark red colour, light pink/purple foam. Sweet nose of blueberries. Taste is sugary with lots of blueberry juice. Light bitter finish.
