Tip Top Hop is a continually hopped IPA. What does that mean? Well most IPA’s have 3 hop additions, at the beginning, and two near the end. Not this one, oh no, we just keep adding. This builds a complex hop aroma and flavour. Placed atop a simple Malt bill helps accentuate that hoppy zing that we all look for!

Flaske 0,33l spandert av Rune og delt under samling hos ham 6 Feb 14. Lys gylden. Litt uklar. Betongskum med kniplingslacing. Aroma av surøl. Overraskelse! Smaken er tørr, syrlig frukt. Annerledes øl - men ikke helt i min smak.

330ml bottle from Sourced Market, St Pancras in London. Dense, bubbly, white head. Hazy golden. Grassy hops and farmyard aroma. Herbal hoppy taste, notes of semi-tart citrus. Yeasty fruitiness to a slightly tart ending. Quite well balanced. Different and likable (shared with Finn, Tromsø 06.02.2014).

Slightly hazy orange golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, yeast, apricot and hops. Light bitter flavour, hops and yeast. Light hoppy finish, spices, citrus and yeast. Quite nice, it has an easily drinkable quality to it.

Bottle shared at Borefts, picked up at Sourced prior to boarding the Eurostar deliberately gunned down as it seems these guys have gone under !?! 28/09/13. Hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is tarte fruit, bitter orange, apricot, grass. Taste comprises orange pith, grass, lightly soured fruit, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish with light hop bitterness. So so.

Thx! for the share. 33 cl. bottle sampled @ Borefts 2013. Hazy orange & white head. Hops have turned all sweet & fruity in a great way, lovely. Nose is fizzy apricot, sweet lemon, touch floral. Taste is sweet caramel, sweet peaches, apricots, caramel, sweet fruits, light bitter grass in the back. Creamy, lovely brew.

Bottle from sourced market. I probably paid above the odds for this tick. Hazy bright orange colour with persistent fine head. Aroma is cif lemon, spicy frizzy sweets. Some solvent in the nose as well. Flavour is disappointing, harsh grapefruit the really sticks in the back of the throat. Burnt rubber, grassy, some higher alcohols. Not an easy drinking beer.

Bottled (from AbM). Orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized fluffy white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is bready and caramel malts, with a slight toasted tone to it. Apart from that there’s some nutty notes as well as quite pleasant floral and grassy notes. Flavour is sweet malts, with quite nice floral and grassy bitterness. Mild rubbery notes, but those are not all too evident.

330ml bottle. Clear orangey golden colour with average, firm, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Slightly sourish aroma, cautious caramel malty background. Taste is fruity, hints of peach, dry, minimally soapy overtones, dry, minimally spicy and peppery finish. A bit weird.

Bottle from Oddbins, London Bridge, London. A hazy amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweet, malty, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes slightly sweet, malty, hoppy, tropical fruit, grapefruit and there is this rather strange plastic background note to it. Slightly unbalanced but there is something quite likeable about it too. The plastic thing goes on long after the beer is finished. I’d like to revisit this one because it is almost very good.
