Tip Top Hop is a continually hopped IPA. What does that mean? Well most IPA’s have 3 hop additions, at the beginning, and two near the end. Not this one, oh no, we just keep adding. This builds a complex hop aroma and flavour. Placed atop a simple Malt bill helps accentuate that hoppy zing that we all look for!

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, nutty, pale malt, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, dusty grass. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, leather, dusty grass, hops. Just something I do not fancy can not put words on !!! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130112]

330ml bottle. Pours gold with no head. Aroma is sweet, with some piney hops and a touch of vinegar. Taste doesn’t have much to start and a piney hop, medium bitter finish. A little acrid in the aftertaste.

Bottle from oddbins@Blackheath, SE London - It pours a fuzzy orange/amber colour, with a medium white head. Both the aroma and taste was really strange to me. There was hints of citrus hops, some malt character but I cant really place what smelt/tasted so wrong here. Very gritty/rough drinking. and harsh mouthfeel, and I didn’t finish the bottle from my initial half pour. Not sure if there is a problem with the batch/bottling but a really bad first impression here.
