The Brown Bink is the 2nd Bink Beer to be brewed here, since 1997. This drinking beer goes down well with the amateurs of dark beer. The ingredients are: four types of malt, one type of Belgian hops, brewing water and yeast. Our Brown Bink is a full, softly bitter beer with a sweetish aftertaste of maltiness.

Bottle. Chestnut color with a tan head. Caramel, yeasty, fruity (plum) aroma. Malty, plum flavor with earthy yeast. Medium body. LIngering fruit and yeast.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm, 20 Oct) Very dark brown colour, almost mahogany, with foamy pale brown head. Lots of dark fruit in the nose, soft notes of chocolate, cocoa and coffee as well. Malty, slightly roasted, taste with smooth coffee notes, dark chocolate, cocoa and wild berries (blackberries, cherries). Very nice bruin.

An almost opaque brown beer with a nice brown head, leaving a slight laze on the glass. The aroma is sweet nutty and malty, but also with slight notes of yeast and caramel. The flavor is quite sweet with notes of wood, nuts, nutmeg, caramel, and yeast. The end is dry with a slight hint of citrus from the hops. I find the mouthfeel a bit thin.

Murky prune brown body, medium but dissipating off-white head. Aroma loaded with prune and caramel with chocolate notes, heavy and full with slight tartness. Chocolatey, bready body with prunes and earth, somewhat bitter, leafy finish. Heavy, dense body, but little alcohol presence. This isn’t half bad.

Bottled. Ruby red colour, small beige head. Sweet caramel, plum and malt in aroma. Plum, dryness, paper and malt in flavour. Not as sweet as many other bruins, nice one in that way. A bit boring in length though.

(bottle) Cloudy dark brown colour with a small foamy beige head. Roastmalty aroma with a tinge of dried fruitsand caramel, also slightly vinous when it warms up. Roastmalty taste with caramel and milk chocolate, dry and bitter, but quite short finish. Not outstanding and decent.

(Bottle 33 cl) Originally Kerkom produced only two beers: Bink Bruin and Bink Blond. They were both simply called "Bink", shared the same label and you could only tell the difference from the different coloured caps. I believe that explains the rating from "jbrus" of a beer simply called "Bink". I believe it’s the Bink Bruin. Nowadays Kerkom is a bit more sophistiticated in the way they present their beers. Anyways, this is dark brown, very unclear - almost muddy. Some maltiness and slightly roasted notes. A touch of sweetness. Not exactly a great beer but pleasant and easy to drink due to the low alcohol. 100198

Dark ruby brown, vanishing off-white head. Dark malty barley wine -like nose. Medium-bodied, barley with fruits and malts. Quite yeasty and not very enjoyable.

Bottle: Poured an hazy dirty brown looking ale with a medium head with average retention. Aroma is a mix between Belgian yeast and some malt. Taste is lighter then expected with again the Belgian yeast dominating that one with some enjoyable floral aspect. A bit disappointing or maybe just a middle of the pack Belgian Ale but nothing to write home about.
