Pas réellement une réussite cette De Graal Blonde. Côté arômes nous sommes sur du relativement classique, coriandre, céréales/pain, miel et agrumes. Mais c’est sur l’équilibre qu’elle pêche et une ligne plutôt brouillonne. En verre blond légèrement voilé (EBC aux alentours de 20) avec un mousse blanche de 3 mm, donc rien d’exceptionnel. Le nez est classique et appréciable sur la coriandre, le pan, le miel et les agrumes. A la dégustation, nous sommes moins heureux : acidité présente laissant révéler des arômes de citron et coriandre et petit côté plastique pas agréable. La deuxième bouche est légèrement plus équilibrée laissant s’exprimer davantage le fruit (agrumes/pomme/pêche) mais avec une arrière bouche brouillon, encore portée sur l’acidité. Le final allie acidité et amertume avec des épices dominant l’ensemble. De Graal sait faire mieux.

Slightly hazy yellow color, small white head. Belgi yeasty, pear aroma with some grassy notes. Medium-bodied. Fruity Belgi yeasty, pear, grass, light metal. Short pear fruity finish. Very standard.

Flaska från Saveur-bier. Gyllenfärgad, lätt disig, lågt skum. Söt och ganska kryddig doft med lite söt frukt i bakgrunden. I grunden en söt blond med lätt kropp, lite som en lättare variant av Duvel med söta fruktiga inslag, söta päron, äpplen, apelsinskal och druvor. På det en rejäl kryddighet med pors, malört, koriander som kanske är lite väl tilltagen. Men annars ett trevlig belgare.

Cloudy medium amber colour, small frothy off-white head, dissipates quickly, thin layer remains, light lacing. Aroma fruity, apricot, sourish, aniseed. Taste medium sweet and bitter, fruity notes. Medium body, oily texture, spicy mouthfeel, average carbonation, aftertaste is in taste, distinctive herbal presence. The beer needs some time to open itself, not your typical Belgian blonde because of the herbal touch, but quite nice anyway.

33cl bottle from Sterk Avondverkoop. Thick white head. Hazy golden pour. Herbal afteraste. Not a bad blond beer.

Donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak is hoppig bitter en licht zuur citrus achtig, sporen van koriander. Smaak blijft redelijk lang hangen. Niet echt bijzonder maar zeker niet slecht.

Blonde with off-white, rocky, quickly collapsing foam but staying stable nonetheless; colour a deep peach, orangey blonde, cloudy. Pleasantly fruity aroma, orange, apple, caramel, coriander, aniseed, cloves, cheese, honey, pepper. Fruity and softly malty taste, nice spicy tones making the palate come alive, drying towards the finish with mild herbal hoppiness. Bit different from the normally straightforward top-fermented blonde thirst-quenchers produced by many a Belgian brewer.

Hazy dark blond. Aroma is quite yeasty with light citrus and grape. Flavour has a spicy, yeasty edge but otherwise it’s quite a plain Belgian blond.
