Bottle, 14C. Black with a rapidly fading tan head. Aroma of treacle, mocha and licorice. Quite dry after initial dark caramel sweetness. Medium roasted flavours, coffee, hints of dried fruit and smoke. Finish is dry and a bit salty. Quite complex and well-balanced but didn’t really grab me.

355 ml bottle bought @ Ølbutikken and consumed on January 15. Pours oily black with a creamy mocha head that slowly dissipates while leaving some nice looking lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet with roasted malts, dark dried fruits, chocolate and burnt sugar. Taste is sweet with roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, sweetened coffee, dark fruits and some alcohol. Mouthfeel is silky and smooth. finish is slightly sweet and slightly bitter with some cocoa and coffee.

12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled 12/07/2010; so over a year old now. Pours thick opaque black color with a nice 1 finger dense tan head with decent retention that reduces to a thin cap. Nice bits of lacing clinging to the glass as well. Aromas of dark chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, coffee, light dark fruits, and a bit of spiciness. Some pretty nice aromas with good strength. Taste of caramel, chocolate, roasted malt, nuttiness, light coffee, dark fruit, and spiciness. Hardly any bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, caramel, roasted malt, and light spiciness on the finish for a bit. Some pretty nice balance of flavors here as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a nice creamy and smooth mouthfeel that goes down nicely. Alcohol is pretty well hidden with only a warming on the finish. Overall a very nice and enjoyable imperial stout. Nothing that will blow you away though.

Black with a nice beige head that diminish fast. Lovely aromas of dried fruit, raisins andcoffe. Flavours of sweet malt and more dried fruit, hint of chocolate. Medium to light bitternes. Surprisingly medium bodied and oily. Feels thinner than expected. Soft carbo. Overall a nice beer, but for a imperial stout I would have wanted more roasted bitternes.

Bottle at CP&K. It pours opaque black, with a thin dark tan head. The nose is salted liquorice, caramel, chocolate and filter coffee. The taste is light roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, cherry cola, bubblegum, plasticine and filter coffee, with dryness in the finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nice.

Bottle: Literally black, small tanned head, moderate to solid sweet leathery-coffeeish nose; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, soft, medium to full bodied; cacao and milk-chocolate in the solid sweet-bitter finish. Well rounded, fine stuff.......
