355ml bottle shared with OleR at Schouskjelleren, Oslo. Decent, tan coloured foam. A deep ruby tint to a very dark coloured body. The aroma brings roasted malts together with notes of mould cheese. The flavour profile consists of chocolate malts, cheese, anise and milk sugar and is offset by welcoming bitter hops towards the finish. Well worth drinking without being outstanding (Oslo, 10.01.2011).

12 oz bottle. Black body with a thin, dense brown head. Strong and nice aroma of sweet malt, coffee, mocha and hops. Flavor does not live up to the expectations from the aroma. Sweet malt, caramel, hint of liquorices, medium bitter and mild roasted. Decent but not outstanding.

Bottle 355ml @ Patricks Pub og Restaurant, Kristiansand
Pours blac with a tan head. Aroma has notes of chocolate, coffee, licorice and a little vanilla. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Texture is oily with soft carbonation. A very easy drinkable imperial stout.

Bottle, 12oz. It pours a dark, dark brown body and a finger thick beige head. Lots of dark caramel on the nose, a good dose of alcohol too. Raisins, a roasted hint and licorice too. The flavor is quite dry, with caramel sweetness, some licorice and raisins. Dry, full bodied and a bit low on carbonation. The finish is alcoholic and caramel-ish. A pleasant beer in many ways, but far from the best imperial stout. 101210

Philly Case Store variety pack: Almost completely black and has a brown head that quickly dissipates. Chocolate, some liquor tasting, and a bunch of roasted malts and the like. Sweet and chocolately. But there is also a bunch of bitterness there. A whole lot of roasted malts. Really on the light bodied side of the imperial stout. Nevertheless pretty good.

Bottle, big thanks to keepersj12. Poured black as the pagans cloak with a medium sized tan head. Roasted malt and dark chocolate aplenty in the nose; themes that continued on into the flavour. Really smooth sliding down. Notes of coffee and dark fruit revealed themselves towards the finish .This grew on me as it warmed up and is more complex than I first thought . Enjoyable stuff.
