29/IV/2012 - 33cl bottle @ ZBF 2012 (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2012-449)

Note: had this the first time at De Bistronoom in July 2010, remembered it as being more yellowish.

Clear copper red to pale amber coloured beer, creamy off-white head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: little citrus, metallic, green banana, very faint in all. MF: good carbon, full body. Taste: nutty, very bitter, citrus, bit metallic, grassy. Aftertaste: pretty bitter ending, bit medicinal, grassy. Not a fan.

Bottled. An unclear dark red-brown beer with a huge tan head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, dusty hops, and caramel, leading to a dry dusty finish. the body is light. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Hazy amber colour. Quite a yeasty aroma and some sweet fruitiness. Some yeast-spiciness in the flavour and a light fruity maltiness. Very thin bodied and a touch watery.

Hazy/muddy amber body. Off-white, fastly diminishing head. Aroma of bit citrus and some caramalts. Quite ok. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet, nice flavour of hops, citrus. Well balanced and some complexity.

Bottled@The Chriso Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011 "Donkey Dork Lord Edition". Deep golden/amber colour with a white small head. Aroma is fruits, mild yeast, some alcohol as well as some slight notes of zest and mild glue. Flavour is zesty, caramel malts, some yeast as well as quite honeyish. Flavour is very nice, whereas the aroma would need some balancing out...

Bottle. It’s an unclear, golden-orange beer with a big, off-white head. It’s rather weak on the nose, fruity, yeasty and spiced, just like one would expect from a generic Belgian ale. The flavor is on another level, with sweetness, some spices and alcohol warmth, and a nice fruityness. Warming, full-bodied and a bit heavy on carbonation. Bitter finish. Overall, far from extraordinary, but drinkable indeed. 110502
