Brewed only once each year to coincide with the Hop Harvest in Yakima Washington, High Tide IPA is made with 180 lbs of Fresh Hops per batch that are plucked from the vines and sent straight to our brewery. We skip the whole drying and processing stage which means the hops are ultra fresh and full of flavors we can’t normally get. Like grapes, Hops are only harvested one time each year and as such, we make what we can when we get them.

Golden with a big and firm white head. Juicy hop aroma of citrus, pine and flowers, with a little alcohol showing. Aggressive hop flavour and bitterness, with a nice touch of crisp and bsicuit-y malt. Lasting pine hop aftertaste and a lovely hop burn in the throat.

65cl bottle @ Olbutikken, CPH. Thanks to Bluntaholick. Pours a cloudy orange with a full egg white head and lacings. Loads of dry and bitter hops. Mostly exotic but also lots of grassy bitter hops. Medium bodied. Crisp and dry. Nice

Bottle. Look: Golden, white head. Smell: Cookies, malt, citrus hops. Taste: Bitter, flowery, a little too bitter in my opinion (makes it less complex). Overall: One dimensional hop juice.

Bottle. Golden beer with a strong white head. The aroma is gently hopped, and the flavour is very, very well hopped and extremely dry. Overall quite a thirst quencher but one dimensional - it is very dry.

(Bottle at Pikkulintu, Helsinki, on 2009-01-22) Orange, Cloudy. Long lasting white and frothy head. Hops and grass in aroma. Full bodied and dry palate with low carbonation. Hops, grass, hint of grapefruit, fruitiness, sweetness and pine in taste. Bitter and fruity aftertaste. Very nice.

Bottle from Beer Merchants, delivered to my door by Phil l on Christmas Eve. Simcoe and Centennials in this so it should be good. Gold, slight haze, lasting ivory head. Leafy hop aroma hits you straight off, love those simcoes. It’s big and extreme, but I rather like it. Love the hop. Good in the mouth. Slightly creamy and fullish pale malt. Works really well. Great big hop, very good fresh hop IPA.

The next best thing to rolling in a giant pile of very freshly harvested hops. Flowery, earthy, bitter and pleasant. Nice one.
