Brewed only once each year to coincide with the Hop Harvest in Yakima Washington, High Tide IPA is made with 180 lbs of Fresh Hops per batch that are plucked from the vines and sent straight to our brewery. We skip the whole drying and processing stage which means the hops are ultra fresh and full of flavors we can’t normally get. Like grapes, Hops are only harvested one time each year and as such, we make what we can when we get them.

Bottle. Hazy yellow with a large white head that leaves lazings inside the glas. Aroma was fresh and wonderful. Pineapple are other more exotic fruits such as passion fruit. The taste started with a real bitter first sip then I felt a very fruity taste, however not as fruity as was the aroma. Grass, strawberries and some grape. Highly carbonated, liquid felt dry and the beer was very refreshing and pleasant to drink. Maybe not the most balanced beer in world history but very good. I want summer now!

fresh from this year’s harvest, acc. to vendor was shipped from the states to DK as soon as it was finished. clear orange, thick smooth offwhite lacing head mild flowery hops in the aroma, not a hop head extreme beer. not that strong hop aroma. but what there is, is nice. hop aroma seems to be quite fruity and fresh. flavor is fresh flowery hops, clearly also some pine, very fresh / juicy flavor of orange and pine. good bitterness to balance. pretty tasty. alc well hidden, ends with nice bitterness, the middle is fresh juicy and hoppy, some malt balance. pretty nice IPA that i think is much less agressive than most double IPA’s etc. delicate.

I’ve been on a big fresh hop beer kick lately, and this is one of the better ones I’ve had recently - pours a hazy light gold - effervescent body, with a substantial, well-sustained head - big, earthy, herbal simcoe nose - grassy and even a bit minty as well - crackery, biscuity malts work well with the dry, crisp, intensely bitter hops - the is a mild sweetness through the middle that serves simply to keep the beer from being overly bitter - the hops a showcased nicely - peppery, slightly warming finish, despite the abv - tasty.

Hazy golden color; small but nice head. In the beginning it has some fruity aroma, but then it develops more an unusual cereals and malt aroma (really nice) and flavor. It has of course a strong bitterness. Not fruity as usual American IPA, but quite resiny anyway. Good.
