Brewed only once each year to coincide with the Hop Harvest in Yakima Washington, High Tide IPA is made with 180 lbs of Fresh Hops per batch that are plucked from the vines and sent straight to our brewery. We skip the whole drying and processing stage which means the hops are ultra fresh and full of flavors we can’t normally get. Like grapes, Hops are only harvested one time each year and as such, we make what we can when we get them.

Bottle 650ml at Hoppy Pub Thessaloniki. Golden-orange hazy color with big white head. Mostly hoppy aroma, floral, grassy and citrusy. Malty sweetness in the taste and hoppy bitterness like in the aroma with citrus fruits and floral/grassy notes.

From bottle to glass. Overt citrus aroma with a solid malt backbone to blend well and not just make it a hop bomb. Malt is white bread and yeast is also apparent. Hazy pale orange with a full white head that lingers. Taste is citrus and a little pine. Some resiny attributes and moderate bitterness throughout the back half. Finishes quickly and slightly dry, but a juiciness is retained in the tongue that is like fresh squeezed lemon and orange.

Tap at Oasis Micropub. Thick, unfiltered orange-tan. Frothy white head. Big citrus hop edge...orange, lemon, really earthy and tropical. One of the best Fresh Hop IPAs I’ve had in some time. Very drinkable, with that smooth lemon-lime edge. Great beer, very sessionable while bursting with flavor.

Bottle, 22oz. It’s lighlty hazy, orange-golden in color and with a rocky, pillowy white head leaving some lacings. The aroma is a tad boring, but nice though. Pale malts in the back, with orange peel and some pine cones. Nice indeed, but rather boring, and that goes for the flavor too. There’s a nice bitterness going on, all the way, with lots of citrus peel. Guess it would be nicer all fresh, as it’s now I find it sort of boring. 131214
