Brewed only once each year to coincide with the Hop Harvest in Yakima Washington, High Tide IPA is made with 180 lbs of Fresh Hops per batch that are plucked from the vines and sent straight to our brewery. We skip the whole drying and processing stage which means the hops are ultra fresh and full of flavors we can’t normally get. Like grapes, Hops are only harvested one time each year and as such, we make what we can when we get them.

Bottle from YNWA Beershop, Kolding. Hazy golden with a big and lasting white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and rather hoppy - citrus and peach. Flavor is medium sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. Really nice and dry IPA without too much caramel. 100213

Location: 22 oz bottle from Sparrow-Downtown, 12/5/12
Aroma: The nose has lots of hops, headlined by pine/resin, grass, leaves, and a little bit of citrus
Appearance: The pour is a cloudy yellow-orange color with a fizzy white head that leaves spotty lace
Flavor: Tastes of fresh hops all over the place, with a little sweetness, and a crisp medium-plus bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a crisp, fairly clean feel, a soft carbonation, and a nice, dry finish
Overall Impression: I think this has to be one of, if not the, best Fresh Hop IPAs that I have tried. This one is truly a world-class example. I really enjoyed it. This is a heck of a beer.

22 ounce bottle. Hazy pale yellow gold color. Small bubbly white head disapates rather quickly. Aroma is tropical fruits and citrus hops. Mild toasted malt flavor quickly taken over the the intensely bitter fresh hop character. a bit out of blance as the hops dominate big time. Extreme bitterness lies on the back of the tongue. Could use a little more malt balance. Good, though.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled 10/2/2012. Pours lightly hazy bright golden amber color with a very nice 2-3 finger fluffy white head with incredible retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big pineapple, orange zest, grapefruit, lemon, citrus rind, grass, floral, herbal, and light piney spiciness. Fantastic aromas with great hop complexity and balance; very dank smelling. Taste of pineapple, orange zest, lemon zest, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, bread, and herbal spiciness. Fair amount of piney bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, citrus zest, floral, grass, citrus rind, pine, bread, and herbal spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice hop flavor balance and complexity; nice malt/bitterness balance; hardly any cloying hop bitterness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a sticky, smooth, and crisp mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an awesome wet hop IPA! Great dank hop complexity and balance; very smooth and crisp to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden yellow with a huge creamy white head that eventually dissipates with nice clumpy lacing. Aroma is citrus, passionfruit and peach. Flavor is about the same, lightly sweet, medium bitter. Medium body - tastes like a muted Surly Wet 2012.

(Bottle) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head, leaving traces of lacing. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, peaches, passion fruit, lychee and lots of fresh floral hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, tropical fruit, pineapple, lychee, grapefruit, slightly bready malt and lots of fresh floral hops in a finish with a generous bitterness. Medium body, mainly dry. Tasty, well balanced and very fresh. Excellent beer!
