Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a creamy, light brown head. Sweet, smooth, roasty aroma. Rich, soft body, salty licorice, downplayed roast, subtle phenols and a warming alcohol finish. Kinda Belgian in style. 130219

Bottle at home. Three year old. Has a dark brown to black colour with a light brown head that fades fast. Aroma of nougat chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Roasted flavour with burned wood, soy sauce, coffee beans, dark chocolate and leather. Has a silky mouthfeel, full-bodied and a light to medium bitterness. A solid roasted ale. Not much Belgian left, and surprisingly not very complex.

Aus der Flasche 2015-08 getrunken. Hui - Aufgelöste Kaffee-Schokolade! Sicher nicht leicht nach dem süßen Dark Signs, aber nach einer Weile hat man sich an diese gut balancierte Bitterkeit mit den wunderbaren Röstaromen gewöhnt.

330ml bottle. Pours an opaque black with a small, creamy, short lived, brown head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, licorice and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, licorice, ash and coffee with a dry, bitter, tangy, warming alcohol finish. Medium to full body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Good but not great.

33cl bottle @ ISKTR 2017. Oily black color with a thin brown head. Aroma has roastedness, licorice, mild peat. Flavor has licorice, roastedness, oily stuff. Tar, asphalt. Quite heavy.
