Bottle. Thanks Ajax! Murky deep brown liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of brown sugar, cherries, light wood, light lacto and murky leaves. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium sour with notes of cherries, raw sugar and light wood. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Meh. Unnecessarily sweet.

Blend of their regular oud bruin with their kriek, which they make only once a year in very limited edition and named after the buffalo statue in their garden which refers to the liberators of the first World War. Almost no head, colour bronze with reddish hue, misty. Aroma of sour cherries, chocolate, sour cream, hay, strawberry, passion fruit. Estery fruity taste mixed with a genuine presence of sour cherries, subdued oud bruin character with soft malt sweetness, thin and almost watery body, dryish finish because of the sourness of the cherries. I like their normal oud bruin better.

Dark red-brown colour with quick fading head. Aroma of fruity malt vinegar. Watery body. Flavour has light fruitiness but overall is rather too sour.

25 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems. BBF 31/12/2014. This is one I have been wanting to try for some time. Pours a dark red vinous, almost no tanned head. Nose is simply wonderful, smells like a glass of cherry and kriek juice, the kind you can get a the supermarket in a pack, very faintly vinous, touch tart but mostly just slightly sugary juice. Really liking the smell. Taste is bitter kriek pits, mix of kriek and cherry juice, touch candy in the back, touch sugary and metallic, some gelatine candy, very faintly metallic vinous note. Body is metallic juice, pleasing lower carb. Nice but could use more sourness in my opinion and if they did that and got rid of the metallic note we would have a real winner here. I checked Joris P. his notes and I think that I would go crazy if I could try the “unmixed contents of the cherry fermenters”.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. Clear dark red color, small beige head. Not a lot of aroma. Taste light to moderately sour, sour red fruits. Pretty nice actually. Average body and carbonation.

Bottled 25cl ("Bizon bier", alc. 5.5%, BB 11/2012)
Courtesy of bierkoning. Deep ruby color, small off-white head. Strong fruity-sour, vinegardish "old bruin" aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Tart, vinegardish cherry flavor. Tart aftertaste. Expected more intensive palate. This is quite simple oud bruin, but tasty.
