Bottle: Literally black, huge stable fluffy tanned head, delicate traces of infection in the sweetish toasty-fruity nose; pretty solid drier bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; the acidity returns in the leathery-fruity finish. Not great…

Black color, with a generous frothy head. Smell of all possible infections: feet, mushroom, chemicals… Roasted malts and sour infection, that’s all. Do the potatoes add some roundness?

12/9/11/10/11/10

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Starts intense malty, not too roasty, fine spicy-earthy. Hints of liquorice. Well balanced finish, mild-malty. Very interesting.

750ml bottle. Opaque black with huge creamy beige head. Mouldy, scruffy aroma, sourish, like rat dejection in the cellar where potatoes are laid in. Complete sour taste with a very late dry dark malt stout note in the finish. Must be infected. BBE 07/12.

(bottle, 75cl) Black coloured hue with a brown and tall foamy head. Yeasty, roast-malty with notes of ashes, liquorice, mocha and a sweaty, also smoky touch. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Mildly roasty malt-character with notes of liquorice, coffee and a subtle fruity touch; dry-ish roasty bitter finish with fruity signs of an early infecition. Otherwise not bad. 22.II.12

Bottle. Black with a large frothy tan head. Aroma of roast malt, raspberry jam. Flavour is toasty malt, chocolate with a milky dark chocolate mouth. Toast, roast, creamy, lots going on here, one of the best beers they have released
