Pours a cloudy brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of malts, yeast, slight caramel, light dried fruits. Medium sweetness.This is a nice enough brew, but the Prior 8 and especially the 12 are better.

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso viene attratto dal fruttato. La finezza olfattiva è normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il manto birroso superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma color avorio dalla buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana medio-fine. La parte liquida offre una visione offuscata. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono anche la forma della frizzantezza. Il colore è ambrato. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è elevata e si prolunga in modo sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di facile beva. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di miele, frutta secca, agrumi, cannella e frutta passita.

Аромат слегка спертый, манящий и сильный. Темные фрукты, карамель, цветочные нотки лакрицы и специй. Пена огромная, слегка кремовая, мелко-пузырчатая, цвет не прозрачный, карамельно-коричневый. Карбонизация слабая, но тело у пива весьма тяжелое. Вкус продолжает аромат, начинается с карамели, плавное переходит в темные фрукты и не приторную сладость. Послевкусие немного цветочное и сильно хлебное, особенно по началу. Также ощущается карамельный солод и сахар. В целом классический топчик в данном стиле. Идеал, если бы не было Шимай.

Color marrón oscuro, turbia y con capa densa de espuma, de color crema, muy buena retención.
Aromas a caramelo, frutas varias, levadura belga y alguna especia de fondo. En boca es cremosa y de trago fácil, de cuerpo medio.
Sabores muy bien integrados, perfecto equilibrio entre el dulzor, con notas frutales y el caramelo y esas notas amargas en el retrogusto.
Es la versión ligera de la St. Bernardus Prior, buenísima dubbel.

330ml bottle. Dark brown, moderate sized beige head, good consistent retention. Aroma of malts, toffee, stone fruits, banana, grass. Taste is at first subtle but the flavours are noticeably layered and its very moreish. Medium bodied and a lovely soft carbonation.

Bottle drunk at home, watching (sadly) the last episode of Norsemen. Frøya, you will be missed! The beer is dark brown with a light tan head, full brown-sugary nose with complex yeast overtones. It's not too sweet on the tongue, some woody flavor blending in with moderate roast notes to balance it well. Nice body and smooth earthy hop notes fading into the sunset along with Jarl Varg.
