On tap. Pours a gold/yellow with medium head. Aromas of light Belgian yeast and yellow fruits. Dry. Flavors if toasted malts, green apples, light yeast/esters. Nice.

Nice frothy head, but this beer is tangy and tart and hard on the palate. After sampling some smooth, buttery blonde Belgian beers, this one comes off as harsh. Decent taste, aroma and appearance, but overall presentation is bit difficult.

33 cl. flip top bottle @ home, bought somewhere in Belgium. Bottle was a bit of a gusher. What remained in the bottle and got poured in the glass was a hazy golden with a big white head. Fruity yeasty typical blonde aroma. Taste is semi bitter with considerable sweetness and some spicy black pepper sharpness. Very lively carbonation and a slightly alcoholic aftertaste. Decent but too rough blonde

ugh! bottle bought at the local supermarket, kinda looked ’special ’ to me back then... poors blond, but realy, realy filthy. with shiftings in it like somebody ripped appart thin paper and just threw it into the beer. truely discusting ! white foam that is more okay. now i’l have to admit than due to the bad looks it already tasted less probably. but anyway, sweetness, not realy complexity, common taste but than they made it worse.. truely avoid this one ! after an hour or so ’( i had a little sip in my glass left ) the beer is still blond. but the boddom is completley brown... did someone drank this already? so if you DO gonna taste this, do NOT pour the whole bottle. maybe it will be drinkable than...

Bardzo smaczne, mętne z osadem drożdzożowym mocne belgijskie Ale. Wspaniała piana, mocna i utrzymująca się do końca konsumpcji. Wyraźnie aromat i smak winno-drożdżowy. Wyczuwalny aromat i smak alkocholu, lecz nie jest to dominująca cech tego wyśmienitego piwa

Hazy, pale yellow with giant soapy head. Aroma has some lemony citrus. Also some maltiness and cardboard. There’s a nice fresh element to this beer at first but the background taste is of dusty soil and cardboard.

June 2011: Tall necked flip-top 33cl bottle, unable to find any best before date. Poured into a Duvel glass: when I say poured, I really mean gushed into the glass because as soon as I flipped the top it rose like an active volcano all over the table before I could get the glass to it. The beer was therefore murky and dirty in appearance, a grubby, dull old gold colour. The head was huge, large bubbles of pure white sat above the dishwater looking body of beer. Really yeasty aroma, almost as strong as when leaning over a fermentation tank during the yeast rising (to a cauliflower head) period. Spicey hops too. The beer began to settle a bit and it became more of a grapefruit juice colour and thickness. Darker towards the bottom of the glass, as the sediment slowly sank. The taste was semi-sweet and sour, with lemon, pink grapefruit, coriander and pepper all coming and going within the tasting. The beer was medium bodied once the sediment fully settled and quiet pleasant, just took so long before I could write this about the beer.

Re-rating, a great fennel note this time, with some very zingy spices this time. Great. Previous rating 6+4+7+4+13 = 3.4 33cl bottle. Pours golden with gentle bubbles and a nice head. The nose is lemon, hay and fennel. The taste hss lemon and a lovely aniseed note. The palate has a medium to full bodied with a big effervescent texture and a nice tangy finish. Overall, this has more complexity that it seems initially. I like it.

swingtop bottle. hard to open, but then opened with a thud, which had such a force, that the swingtop mechanism unjarred from one side. Most surprisingly, not one drop of beer gushed out of the bottle, it was only air pressure and bottle conditioning carbonation. Cloudy yellow, smooth white head.citrussy and belgian yeasty aroma, yellow fruits, dry. slightly dusty. Flavor is notes of alc. fruit peel, yellow fruits, bitterly hopped, but subdued and well blended into the grapefruit peel note.
