Bottled. Very deep brown, close to black colour with a mediumsized living foamy head. Aroma is quite sweet malts, toast, some mild nutty tones along with mild wooden and floral notes. Flavour is nicely toasted, nutty and mild floral notes along with a quite big sweetness, which grows as the bottle warms up.

Classic Scotch ale, full of caramel, toasted bread, cocoa, nuts, and apple, with a gentle bitterness on the back end and a hint of roast. Unexpectedly good. Nice.

330 ml bottle. Pours a reddish brown with moderate bubbly head. Aromas of metallic toasted malts, dry caramel, and grass. Flavors follow same, with additional raisins and more metallic malts. Some sweetness. Nice for the style

On tap @Lochness Pub (Rome). Bruna con riflessi rossastri, schiuma avorio/beige media. Al naso toffee, caramello, leggero tostato, quindi scaldandosi esce un bel po' di mela grattuggiata. In bocca è dolce, toffee, caramello, finale appena amaro, corta. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Senza carattere.
