Lucifer is a strong blond top-fermented beer. The beer has been brewed by Brouwerij Riva since 1980. However, in 2009 brewery Het Anker was given the right to brew the beer and to market it in large numbers. The brewery concept of Riva Brewery has remained unchanged since the transfer to Het Anker brewery. The brewmasters continued to brew with exactly the same ingredients.

Bottled. Pours hazy golden. Huge white creamy head. Perfect stability. The nose is fairly spicy. Malt & candy in the background. Medium body. Relatively dry mouthfeel. fruit, spices, minor candy. Some booziness and a touch of hops finishing the story. This is a good Belgian Strong Ale. Could use some softness on palate to be very good.

Fles gekregen van Inoven. Het is een wat troebel licht geel bier met een volle schuimkraag. Het heeft een moutige licht bittere smaak.

Bottle. Cloudy-yellow color, white foam. Aroma: apple, candy, a little bit of citrus, a lot of malt, esters, a little floral. Taste: malty, slightly bitter, apples, apple seeds, light bitterness.

Pours clear and golden with a lasting frothy white head that leaves lacing. The aroma contains hops, malts, yeast, spices, hay and straw, some fruits. It tastes medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a dry, spicy finish. Creamy texture, fizzy carbonation, nice alcoholic kick that overrules the sweetness.

Anaranjada, turbia. Aroma a levadura belga, notas frutales. En boca buen cuerpo, malteada en la base, seca, frutal, naranja. Especiada, con levadura presente.

11.2 oz. bottle, dated November 2015. Pours hazy orange, with a huge, white head. Smells of orange rind, caramel, banana taffy, and cloves. Sweet and sugary, with a light bitterness and spicy, ester bite. Medium body, silky, grainy, and clean. This is a solid and delicious beer. Great yeast character, and good balance.
