Lucifer is a strong blond top-fermented beer. The beer has been brewed by Brouwerij Riva since 1980. However, in 2009 brewery Het Anker was given the right to brew the beer and to market it in large numbers. The brewery concept of Riva Brewery has remained unchanged since the transfer to Het Anker brewery. The brewmasters continued to brew with exactly the same ingredients.

750 ml bottle. Pours a light yellowish gold with gushing head. Aromas of apples, coriander, and light Belgian yeast. Flavors carry same with additional grain and spice. Almost like a Wit. Nice.

Hazy golden yellow colour, huge white head, recedes slowly, nice lacing. Aroma at first very fruity, orange, followed by honey and bread, yeasty, spicy notes, citrus. Taste dry, sweet taste with mild citrus flavors. Medium body, average carbonation, spicy moutfeel, long medium bitter finish.
Retasted 30/1/2015, draught @’t Ankertje aan de Dijle, Mechelen. Slightly higher rating (originally 7.7), taste more mellow and spicier than bottled version.

Pour is a very hazy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is kinda lagerish with some sweet pale malt and not much after that. Flavor is more of a pale malt sweetness with some Belgian yeast ester. Finish is sweet but with a decent fruitiness. A decent beer but kinda on the below average side as far as most Belgian beers.

0,33 flaske fra Belgisk Bryg: højt hvidt sæbeskum. Dejlig citrusaroma. Gylden, let uklar. Skummet varer helt ned. smagen er en blanding af citron og grønne æbler. Kort afslutning. Brusende mundfølelse.

Split a 750 ml bottle. Poured a dark brown color. Aroma was light bananna, some caramel, malt, distinct Belgian yeast strain. Brown sugar, dried fruits, some grainy notes. Drinkable, but not as refreshing as I wished it could have been - no quenching here, in part also to the high carbonation. Alcohol is low enough that it’s manageable.
