Lucifer is a strong blond top-fermented beer. The beer has been brewed by Brouwerij Riva since 1980. However, in 2009 brewery Het Anker was given the right to brew the beer and to market it in large numbers. The brewery concept of Riva Brewery has remained unchanged since the transfer to Het Anker brewery. The brewmasters continued to brew with exactly the same ingredients.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Clear golden, giant white head. Beautiful aroma with notes of white grapes, honey, green pepper, some spicy alcohol. The taste is much more simple - pale malts with alcoholic dryness, spicy. Gets a bit watery in the finish. Decent.

Bottle, 8%. Faint hay and grain aroma. Hazy golden colour. Good stable white head. The flavour is fruity and vinous at first. Gets acidic, clean and once again fruity in the finish. OK clean. Very high carbonation but pleasant enough.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and flowers, with notes of malt and hints of yeast. Bitter, hoppy flavour with fruity and spicy notes and touches of malt. Bitterish and acetic aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. Quite reasonable.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. Some esters, some lemon on the aroma. OK in the mouth, a little dirty perhaps. Some peppery spicy hop on the finish. It’s ok but nothing special.

Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, BB 25/11/2016, large sample. Hazy golden color, big rocky white head. Aroma of flowery hop, bit citric and floral, slight peppery, some green apple, coriander. Soft bitterness in taste, bit grainy sweetness, spicy. Slight alcohol touch. High carbonation. Bit too much coriander and green apple. Decent strong blonde though.
