March 2010: This beer is now my official ’first beer of the day’ when in Brugge and has been used in three different bars already (Bierboom, De Garre and ’t Brugs Beertje). This review is however from a home tasting, so I didn’t have the benefit of the lovely glass and the small hop sediment glass that goes with it. I poured most of my 33cl flip-top bottle into a Corsendonk glass and poured the remainder in later, once I’d finished the main contents. A huge white head sat on top of a golden, yellow, clear, bright body. The smell is of sweet flowers and summer, with hops added in everything. The taste is all about spicey hops and uplifting your day, this beer is a great ’pick-me-up’. Love it!

Bottle from Chester Beer & Wine. Slightly hazy golden pour with a fair sized white head. Sweetish yeasty nose with hints of sweet malts and fruits. Flavour once more on the sweet side with similar traits to the nose and a trace of spice. Some dry bitterness evident but the hops are lost in the ether. Drinkable but somehow lacking any real quality.

33cl bottle. Golden beer with white head. Good lasting and nice lacework. Aroma is fresh, hoppy and slightly malty. Flavour is bittery, fruity, citrus hints and a dry final maintaining the bitterness. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium.

Flaske 0,33l på Oud Arsenaal i Antwerpen 29 Apr 11. Lys gylden. Høyt luftig skum. Fruktig humlearoma med innslag av krydder. Frisk, lett smak. Søt og ellers temmelig anonym. Fruktig avslutning. Litt bunnfall.
